Picked this up at Hunger Mountain Co-Op. It’s nice seeing Brew Dog beers on the shelf locally. Poured into a Hill Farmstead Glass at 38 Degrees F
A – 3-Finger coffee color head, Deep dark amber color beer, SRM of 29 or more. Very dark for an IPA
S – Yeah, very big hop profile on the nose. banana, blueberries, pine needles, pine cones and tangerines.
T – Holy moly. Intense bitterness. It’s almost too high of an IBU to drink. Reminds me a lot of the Mikkeller 1000 IBU I had last month. Not a lot of fruit profile left from the hops, intense bitterness, heavy malt profile and earthy taste at the back of the tongue
M – 100% carbonation, heavy body, dry finish
O – 85/100. It’s not that great. Not very drinkable and a disappointment for a Mikkeller and Brew Dog collaboration but these things do happen
